Environment and History: New Digital Editor Position

Announcement from Karen Jones, editor of Environment and History:

Environment and History is looking to build on its reputation as a leading international journal in the field of environmental history by appointing a new Digital Editor. We are looking for a dynamic, engaged and enthusiastic person – perhaps at postgraduate or postdoctoral level – with experience and interest in social media.  The successful candidate will be appointed for a year-long term and will be responsible (in the first instance) for starting and (thereafter) for maintaining a regular web blog that runs alongside the existing Environment and History webpage and our journal editions (print and online).  We are particularly proud of the global flavour and ‘personal’ style of Environment and History and are keen to invite applications from people who share this ethos.  Please submit a short CV (one page) as well as an ‘ideas pitch’ (one A4 page) that details the kind of blog presence you might put together for us (send to Karen Jones, Editor, k.r.jones@kent.ac.uk) before September 30th 2016. The Digital Editor will receive a free subscription to E&H and access to all back issues for the duration of the appointment, plus a selection of White Horse Press books. The Press will liaise with the Digital Editor over technical aspects of establishing and maintaining the blog.
